A Message from Larry Ceisler
Larry Ceisler in the News
With races for 2022 already heating up, Larry Ceisler’s opinion is being sought in news articles focused on political analysis. In this Philadelphia Magazine profile examining Democrat Josh Shapiro’s anticipated run for governor, Larry reflects on the PA attorney general as, “the most focused person I have ever met.” In an article by Pittsburgh’s NPR station, Larry discusses the relative impact of the mayor of Braddock endorsing Philadelphia state Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta over her own city’s former mayor, current Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, for the 2022 Democratic U.S. Senate bid. “It’s obviously better to have an endorsement than not to have an endorsement,” Larry said. “Still, I don’t think you win or lose elections on endorsements.” In addition, Larry was quoted in a Law.com (paywall) article that evaluated Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner’s chances for re-election, in light of the city Democratic Party’s decision not to endorse the incumbent. “Krasner really hasn’t played the political game in Philadelphia and my guess is many of these ward leaders don’t know him,” Ceisler said. “But Krasner certainly has his base of support, and his base of support is probably not the Democratic City Committee.”

The Durst Organization is nearing final land-use approvals for a 26-story apartment building as its first Philadelphia project. The ambitious development will rise at a longtime parking lot beside the waterfront north of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. The building will have 360 apartments, with 10,000 square feet of shops and restaurants and a 116-space parking garage. And even before construction begins, there will be an archaeological dig. That project is aimed at preserving centuries-old artifacts that give insight to Philadelphia’s port industry days and may contain the last remaining evidence associated with Philadelphia’s original port and riverfront. The League of Extraordinary Masked Gentlemen
Ceisler team members recently held their first face-to-face (or mask-to-mask) meeting with a client since the onset of the pandemic. The session, held in Scranton, was a chance to listen, learn and explore opportunities with a new client. Our team was fully masked and mostly vaccinated. From left to right: David Huppert, Founder Larry Ceisler, Kurt Knaus, Brian Dries and Drew Murren. The gentlemen described the get-together as “exhilarating.”
