Gerry’s Partisan Pizza, a food truck traveling across the country to educate residents on the inequities of gerrymandering, broke for lunch in Harrisburg and Pittsburgh in November. The truck, sponsored by our client, RepresentUS, served free pizza slices carved up in “gerrymandered” shapes to help voters understand the importance of fairness and transparency in reapportionment. State lawmakers are in the process of gathering data and public input before introducing legislation drawing the lines for the new congressional maps.
Audacy
Audacy is holding its inaugural “Audacy Beach Festival” in Fort Lauderdale, FL on Dec. 4 -5. The two-day festival will highlight the company’s commitment to making to the environment better through its “1Thing” sustainability initiative, part of the Audacy Serves program, encouraging positive environmental practices and living.
Comcast
Comcast marked the 10th anniversary of its signature digital equity program, Internet Essentials — the nation’s largest, most successful, and most comprehensive broadband adoption program for low-income households — by presenting 1,000 free laptops to Beyond Literacy, The Welcoming Center and SEAMAAC. The surprise giveaway also included a donation of $30,000 to be split among the three community-based organizations to support their digital equity, inclusion and literacy efforts.
Honickman Companies
The Honickman Companies, a group of leading beverage manufacturers and distributors, recently participated in two significant charity events: the Volunteers of America Greater New York Golf Outing, and Pepsi Rolling Remembrance in Pennsauken. Both events provided employees with volunteer opportunities to engage with community members, and raised funds for Volunteers of America and the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation.

Coded by Kids Founder and CEO Sylvester Mobley offered his vision to close the race gap in the tech world with WHYY’s Cherri Gregg. Sylvester’s work to tackle inequities in the tech industry has earned national recognition. Our client, Pennsylvania Voice, introduced suggested legislative maps drawn based on input from more than 700 Pennsylvanians from Black, Indigenous and People of Color communities across the state that reflect Pennsylvania’s evolving demographics and would give these communities the political power that they deserve.
10.27 Healing Partnership
The Pittsburgh community joined together on Oct. 27 to remember the 11 who were taken three years ago. The antisemitic attack at the Tree of Life synagogue was the deadliest in American history. The 10.27 Healing Partnership coordinated the public Commemoration Ceremony in Schenley Park. Today and every day, we remember Joyce Fienberg, Richard Gottfried, Rose Mallinger, Jerry Rabinowitz, Cecil Rosenthal, David Rosenthal, Bernice Simon, Sylvan Simon, Daniel Stein, Melvin Wax and Irving Younger.

FS Investments
Next week FS Investments is hosting its Fifth Annual Wayne Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk, back in person to raise money for three partner charities: For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation, Philadelphia Financial Scholars and Radnor Police Force K-9 Unit. Whether participants choose to run, walk, or trot this 5-kilometer race, they will show support for their community and promote exercise and a healthy lifestyle with family and friends. Comp-U-Dopt, a non-profit with a mission to provide technology access in education, is partnering with the Urban League of Philadelphia; Dynegy and its parent company, Vistra; and the PHLDonateTech Campaign to collect and provide 1,000 free reconditioned computers to distribute to underserved communities in Philadelphia. This is Comp-U-Dopt’s first project in Pennsylvania. Women’s Community Revitalization Project
Philadelphia voters stood up on Election Day for affordable housing and overwhelmingly supported amending the Home Rule Charter to include an annual appropriation to the Housing Trust Fund. Momentum for the ‘yes’ vote came from Women’s Community Revitalization Project and the Philadelphia Coalition for Affordable Communities, who advocated for mandatory funding in this Philadelphia Inquirer op-ed and publicly rallied in support of affordable housing.
