Galman Group
Galman Group broke ground on a $30 million multifamily complex at the Pavilion in Jenkintown, a 130,000-square-foot building that will include 14 townhouses and 90 other rental units.
The Flats at the Pavilion Town Center will be located next to Galman’s home office and part of the transformation of the property to a mixed-use town center. Ceisler Media was proud to coordinate the announcement and media coverage of the event.
US Squash

FS Investments
Runners and walkers from across Greater Philadelphia came together on Thanksgiving to participate in the fifth annual Wayne Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk, presented by Philadelphia-based asset manager FS Investments. Nearly 200 FS Investments employees and members of the community joined to raise more than $20,000 to benefit For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation, Philadelphia Financial Scholars and Radnor Police K-9 Unit.
Pennsylvania Association of Nurse Anesthetists
Christopher Heiss, who has worked for more than 10 years at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, has been named to the exclusive Department of Health & Human Services National Disaster Medical System Trauma Critical Care Team. The United States has just one trauma critical care team spread across the country – and Heiss, a Pennsylvania Association of Nurse Anesthetists trustee, is among its 70-80 members.
Vistra
Building on an initiative that began on Earth Day, volunteers were back at Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary School to plant more trees as part of a two-year project to increase the tree canopy around the school and the surrounding North Philadelphia community. The initiative is a partnership between the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, Vistra and retail electricity supplier Dynegy, which is investing nearly $100,000 to add 100 trees to the campus and perimeter and 25 additional trees on streets adjacent to or near the school.

Volunteers of America of Greater New York honored Reginald Goins, president and chief operating officer of the Honickman Companies, at their 25th annual New York City gala last week. Goins received the Spirit of New York Award to celebrate the longstanding relationship between Volunteers of America and the beverage bottling and distribution company.

Amid questions about vaccine availability for children, Friends Select School held an open-to-the-public webinar with leading experts to provide accurate, evenhanded information for families concerned about COVID-19. The school also partnered with CVS Pharmacy to provide a COVID-19 vaccine clinic for community members. Also this month, head of school Michael Gary laid out his vision for an equitable return from the pandemic—and the essential role schools will play – in an op-ed for the Philadelphia Business Journal, where he delved into the school’s commitment to the city.
Cheyney University
Cheyney University is trying to bring more diversity and opportunity into the world of cybersecurity. As reported in the Philadelphia Tribune, it has begun taking applications for a six-month course for adult learners to earn certifications in that high-demand tech field.
POWER
Lawmakers continue to try to advance sweeping election reforms. But some election and social justice experts question the motives behind some of the plans, especially proposals that could take away power from Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC) and erect more barriers for Black and brown communities. POWER wants to ensure all voters, no matter where they live or the color of their skin, have equal opportunity and equal access to cast a ballot.

Our client, Pennsylvania Voice, has been advocating for new state legislative maps to be drawn with racial equity as a core consideration. We recently helped them place this op-ed with WHYY, as well as securing the interview that became the foundation for this story on the topic.
Dynegy & Vistra
Dynegy and its parent company, Vistra, are partnering with Comp-U-Dopt, the Urban League of Philadelphia and PHLDonateTech Campaign to collect and provide 1,000 free reconditioned computers to students and families in underserved Philadelphia communities. The first four distribution events took place Dec. 10-11, when hundreds of free computers were handed out to help close the digital divide.

Liberty Coke
Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages and The Coca-Cola Company started up the iconic Holiday Caravan to celebrate the holiday season. The Holiday Caravan traveled to several locations in the greater Philadelphia region, including the Franklin Institute, La Salle University, Penn’s Landing and Shady Brook Farm. The caravan offered free Coca-Cola products and gave families the chance to take a free picture with Santa Claus. CBS3 Philadelphia covered the caravan’s arrival at the Franklin Institute.
