Ceisler’s Spring 2020 Interns

Every spring, summer and fall, Ceisler Media welcomes a new group of interns into our offices. Our interns assist with a variety of research and media-related tasks and appreciate their work. Meet our spring interns!

Izzy Chausse

Hi, I’m Izzy Chausse. I’m a senior at Temple University studying Advertising with a Copywriting concentration. My current favorite organization on campus is Temple’s WHIP Radio where I work as a concert photographer for local Philadelphia shows.

What’s been your favorite class to date and why?

My favorite class I’ve taken was News Writing and Media Relations because it is what initially sparked my interest in public relations. Without that class I probably wouldn’t have been introduced to this field!

What drew you to Ceisler Media?

Ceisler’s focus on nonprofits is what originally drew me in.

What’s your favorite spot in Philadelphia?

My favorite spot in Philly is definitely Reading Terminal. It has it all. You can eat, shop and people-watch (My 3 favorite things!)

What issue(s) are you most excited to work on?

I am most excited to work on anything to do with education.

What are your plans post-grad?

I would love to continue to work with nonprofits in any capacity.

Caroline Aronowitz

Hi, I’m Caroline. I’m a senior at Haverford College studying Psychology with a minor in Education.

At Haverford I am the Founder and Editorial Director of Spoon University Haverford, which is a nationwide online publication. Through Spoon I write and edit articles for our branch, and I also assist the Marketing Director with their work to market Spoon through social media and throughout our campus. I also played field hockey all four years at Haverford.

What’s been your favorite class to date and why?

Last semester I took a class called Measuring Education. It explored government policies for measuring learning outcomes in both K-12 and higher education institutions. We examined standardized testing, admission processes, and so much more. It was really interesting to bring in my own perspective as a current student with the policies created in the US. This course helped to continue my interest in education and educational policy.

What drew you to Ceisler Media?

I was really drawn to the fact that Ceisler works with such a broad range of clients, ranging from non-profits to larger companies in the area. I really appreciate the advocacy work they do here and was excited to learn more about the media world through so many different avenues!

What’s your favorite spot in Philadelphia?

Anywhere that has a good cheesesteak! I am from Columbus, Ohio, so I love getting Philly cheesesteaks when I’m in the city and always like hearing who everyone thinks makes the best one.

What issue(s) are you most excited to work on?

I am really excited to get to work with anything involving education and to get exposure working for non-profit campaigns as well.

What are your plans post-grad?

I would love to continue working in education or with non-profits in any way possible.

Sarah Reilly

Hi, I’m Sarah Reilly. I’m a senior at Temple University studying Public Relations.

My favorite campus organization is Temple’s amazing study abroad program that I was able to take advantage of in 2018, spending a semester in Rome, Italy.

What’s been your favorite class to date and why?

My favorite class to date was Law and Ethics in PR. The topics sparked interesting discussions in class and I learned a lot about the industry from an ethical standpoint.

I’ve always been interested in working at a firm and working with a variety of different clients. Ceisler Media is the perfect place for me to grow as a public relations professional.

Aaron Danks

Hi, I’m Aaron Danks. I’m a junior at Temple University studying Political Science and Economics.

I am affiliated with the Temple Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society, the Temple Pre-Law Society, and the school’s IM deck hockey league.

What’s been your favorite class to date and why?

I took a Capstone-prep course called Money and Politics last semester. Our department chair, Robin Kolodny, taught the course and was able to spark my interest in a seemingly dry subject. Every class, it seemed as if she would branch off and give impromptu lectures about anything related to campaign finance. It was fascinating just to sit and absorb the information.

What drew you to Ceisler Media?

I had experience with advocacy and communications from my time interning in the D.C. area. I felt my skills would translate well. Also, my academic adviser, Erin Dwyer, worked here for a time and had nothing but great things to say.

What’s your favorite spot in Philadelphia?

It’s always a fun time going down to the stadiums.

What issue(s) are you most excited to work on?

I am looking forward to building reports and providing clients with regular updates on energy and telecommunications policy.

What are your plans post-grad?

I plan on getting a job with a PR firm or a business consulting firm in Philadelphia or Harrisburg.
