A Message from Larry Ceisler

Leadership is what we all look for in our elected officials, which makes it the perfect theme for this month’s newsletter.

You’ll find some politics here, along with solid pieces on the nature of leadership.

Let’s start with the politics. Above you saw a terrific video produced by our digital team, showing Ceisler staffers’ plans for voting and being involved on Election Day. I’m delighted many of our people will be working as poll volunteers on Nov. 3.

We’ve also got my latest thoughts on the state of the presidential race and Pennsylvania politics, including the impact of one of our Senate seats opening up in 2022.

I live-tweeted the recent presidential debate (a new experience for me), and our COO, Kate Wilhelm, did the same with the vice presidential debate. All of our tweets are compiled and featured here.

Kate highlights our leadership theme with a useful article listing five effective ways business leaders should adapt in the Zoom Era. How do you maintain the office culture when no one’s at the office?

Harrisburg Senior Associate Michael Rodriguez outlines how the Ceisler Media Employee Committee helped steer our company through unexpected challenges this year. And Philadelphia Senior Associate Elise Corbett, who co-directs our internship program, offers tips on making the most of your professional internship.

In Miller’s Musings, Special Projects Manager Larry Miller laments the lack of political bravery, and cites a few people who meet his high standard for leadership.

And our creative team of Will Jara and Julia Wolf explain how we can help you – and you can help yourself – create compelling video campaigns without leaving your house.

We’ve got interesting news about our clients and some provocative Thought Leader blogs. Please give it a read and let me know your thoughts.

Most of all, be sure to vote – by whichever method you think is the best. And, again, make sure to click on the video created by our team. It’s the most entertaining two minutes you’ll spend today.

Larry Ceisler: For Philadelphia, This Moment Feels Different

In the poorest large city in America, optimism can be in short supply.
