Drew Murren works as part of Ceisler Media’s Harrisburg team, where his experience and working relationships with the Capitol press corps regularly benefits clients.
Drew focuses on media outreach, working to get stories placed and also serving as a contact person between clients and reporters. As a lifelong resident of Harrisburg, he has a deep understanding of state politics and knows his way around the corridors of the Capitol.
Before joining Ceisler Media, Drew was communications director/public affairs coordinator for the Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges, a statewide advocacy group, where he worked directly with the president/CEO, writing speeches and preparing her for legislative testimony. He produced weekly newsletters and managed the Commission’s social media and website while gaining invaluable insight into the Legislature’s appropriations process.
Drew began his career as an academic success specialist helping students at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College. He still serves as a writing and speech tutor in the Writing Center at HACC, and believes strongly in the community college mission.
Drew holds a bachelor’s degree in American Studies, with concentrations in literature and politics from the University of Notre Dame. He lives in downtown Harrisburg, across the street from the Capitol.
