When COVID-19 hit, Ceisler Media helped Philadelphia City Council get the word out about the importants of wearing masks
ISSUE
At the onset of COVID-19 and as cases spiked in neighborhoods across the city in the spring of 2020, Philadelphia’s City Council partnered with Ceisler Media to design and execute a communications and media campaign that informed and encouraged the public to wear masks to protect against this deadly virus.
STRATEGY
Ceisler Media worked directly with leadership in the City Council President’s office to build a communications approach that went from grass tops to grassroots. It included a paid advertising campaign that reached deep into local communities, a series of PSAs featuring most members of Council, along with local celebrities and influencers, and earned media designed to ensure that residents understood the importance of protecting themselves – as well as others – by wearing a mask.
RESULT
Placements in more than 14 publications, including diverse and minority outlets specifically intended to reach communities that had higher case rates.
