Anna Adams-Sarthou is a global communications and public affairs strategist with nearly 20 years of experience leading reputation, crisis communications, public affairs and high-visibility initiatives across corporate, nonprofit, government, political and institutional sectors. Her work focuses on organizational governance, reputation risk and practical strategies that align an organization’s mission, audiences and business goals with the broader social, political and media environment.

For nearly a decade, Anna has led her own strategic and crisis communications firm, advising clients in technology and innovation, healthcare, education, real estate, government, politics and economic development. She previously served as Vice President of Executive Communications at the Allegheny County Airport Authority, which operates Pittsburgh International Airport.

She also served as Communications Director for the Philadelphia 2016 Host Committee for the Democratic National Convention, where she built and led the communications department and oversaw messaging, public relations, external affairs and social media.

Earlier in her career, Anna held senior communications and public affairs roles in New York City and state government, including Deputy Press Secretary for Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, Acting Press Secretary for Governor David A. Paterson, Regional Director of External Affairs for AT&T, and Communications Director and Deputy Chief of Staff for State Senator Michael Gianaris.

Anna serves as a commissioner on Governor Josh Shapiro’s Advisory Commission on Women and is a board member of Trying Together and Emerge PA. She is a graduate of New York University, was born and raised in Philadelphia, and lives in Pittsburgh.
