Ceisler Media & Issue Advocacy seeks an entry-level candidate to join its team. Superior research, analytical and communication skills are required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- At least 1 year experience at a public relations agency and/or an in-house communications function for a professional services company; internships will be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Political Science or other liberal arts discipline
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts detailed research and analysis for Ceisler Media clients, their issues, causes and campaigns.
- Provides logistical support in planning and staffing of client-related events, meetings and activities.
- Handles daily news monitoring via direct search or via monitoring services for a variety of clients, adhering to formatting guidelines and meeting deadlines
- Works with client teams to prepare lists and ensure accurate records of all critical stakeholders, including contact information for elected officials, media members and key partners for projects.
- Prepares case studies, research reports or briefing memos to support client strategies and company goals.
- Produces regular reports on social media activity related to clients and/or competitors – organically and via listening services.
- Attends events and hearings, when possible, preparing summary notes for client teams.
- Assists with client team efforts including crafting press releases, opinion pieces, social content, etc., when available.
Occasional evening/weekend work will be required; ideal candidate will have reliable transportation

- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Critical Mention, Cision and Brandwatch preferred, not required
IN-OFFICE, REMOTE WORK POLICY
Ceisler Media requires all new hires to work five days a week at the employee’s designated office (Philadelphia, Harrisburg or Pittsburgh) for the first three months of employment. This allows new employees to work in-person with a variety of project teams and become better integrated with the firm’s culture and environment. After the first three months, employees are required to work in the office a minimum of three days a week, with four days a week strongly encouraged.
