As we move ahead, I’m delighted to announce the promotion of Kate Wilhelm to be our Chief Operating Officer. Kate will work with me leading our strategic planning, oversee business development and continue to work with our clients.
We’ve made four other promotions, including moving Brian Dries to the position of Director. Brian’s experience working in local and state government has been valuable as he provides strategic communications advice to corporate clients in their dealings with municipalities.

Kate came to the firm after over a decade as one of the leading professionals in the region’s business and non-profit community, bringing substantial executive and reputation-management experience.
Brian Dries has been promoted to the position of Director. Brian leverages over a decade of government communications experience and unparalleled local policy expertise in his new role.

As students, parents and teachers cheered, the Board of Education recently renewed five-year charters for five Mastery Charter Schools. The schools, our client, collectively educate 3,500 students.

Hundreds of volunteers gathered in Chester to pitch in on Martin Luther King Day community service projects, including distributing sustainable, reusable bags as part of the Chester Housing Authority’s and NIA (New Integration Accommodations) “Bag it Chester” initiative. The day followed the theme of “Reclaiming Chester’s King” and honored the three years Dr. King spent studying in Chester.

Congratulations to Bruce Kaplan, Director of Business Development in our Pittsburgh office on the birth of his sixth grandchild. Wesley William Kaplan entered the world on December 29, weighing it at 6 lbs, 15 oz. This adorable newborn is the son of Josh and Samantha and little brother of Sydney.
